Magus Visual PD150 used in award winning animation.

Using a Sony PD150 camera package sponsored by Magus Visual, newcomer Realize Animation scooped 3 VUKA! Awards at the 2001 annual Multichoice PSA newcomer competition.

The awards were for Best Animation, Best Grassroots Communication and Best Original Soundtrack. They also came second in the Best Director category, and second for Best Overall.

The PD150 was used with a DPS Velocity Perception Video Recorder (sponsored by the Crows Nest). This enabled the animators to capture images directly to hard disk, and replay the animation during shooting.

Videolab South Africa sponsored the colour grading and editing.
